There are various country walks to be enjoyed from Pendra Loweth with wonderful views and just a short walk away you can join the renowned South West Coastal Path to explore the fabulous Helford river (and beyond if you are feeling energetic!).
We have detailed a few of the many local walks just to get you started; you can find more information from the office on the park or by visiting www.walkingworld.com
Pendra Loweth to Maenporth Beach
Walk down to the bottom of the park, pass the tennis courts and on to the bridal path. Carry on until you reach the road and turn to your right, opposite Pennance Mill Farm. Carry on along this road until you reach Maenporth Beach.
An easy walk along a country road. It will take approximately 20-30 minutes.
Pendra Loweth to Swanpool Beach and home again via Maenporth Beach.
Take the walk down to Maenporth Beach and then bear left on the SW Coastal Path, at the beach café.
Walking along the path along the edge of the golf course there are beautiful views of the sea and cliffs. The path follows the coast as you approach Stack Point, which in the spring is covered in bluebells.
Carrying on down along the path you will see out to your left Pendennis Castle perching above Falmouth and the bay itself. The path will dip down and end just above Swanpool Beach. Here you can walk down to the sandy lagoon beach and stop for refreshments or turn left for home.
Your return journey is along the road passing Falmouth Golf Course and a little further brings you out by the 'Pitch and Putt' at the T-junction above Pendra Loweth. Turn left here for home.
The walk takes about 1.30 hours; the footpath is uneven and steep in places. There are 'kissing gates' to negotiate, however it is a lovely walk.
